Tinted mirror
Clear mirrors are often used functionally to reflect its user (eg. bathroom and vanity mirrors). Using a tinted mirror instead at the Foyer amplifies space and creates a luxurious ambience similarly experienced in hotels.
Rounded corners and lime wash paint
A recurring theme in this project are the rounded corners. This is not only a design feature but it ensures that young children will not be injured by sharp corners.
Lime wash paint adds texture to surfaces while achieving a cozy and homey design.
Both the rounded corners and lime wash paint are design trends that gained popularity in 2022.
High ceiling
High ceiling (double volume ceiling) gives the property a luxurious feel. However do consider lighting options carefully as you may require to rent scaffolding whenever you need to change faulty lights. We recommend installing hanging lights where a normal height ladder can reach for easy maintenance.
Glass panel with cut out
Allows for remote control sensors to communicate with players hidden in the TV console.
Heavy duty soft close hinges
To install the concave curved fluted panels as a seamless feature wall, the original doors needed to be replaced. These heavy duty hinges are not only soft close but it ensures the doors will automatically close to maintain the seamless feature wall effect when viewed from the Bedroom Corridor.
Concave curved fluted panels
For a unique design, concave curved fluted panels were used compared to the very common fluted panel strips. This also ties together with the theme of curved corners throughout the property.
Modified door frame
You can see the difference between the original door and door frame colour (background) against the modified door and door frame colour (foreground). Laminate has been installed on the door frame to ensure the colour more closely matches the concave curved fluted panels.
